I am also blessed with the guidance and support I receive from Nexus and Local Enterprise Office Clare.”PiggyBack is the world’s first cloud-based ride-demand intelligence platform for taxi operators and city managers.The company’s first product is a mobile and desktop application for taxi operators and individual drivers to assist them with getting more fares, improve efficiency and service and boosting revenue as a result.PiggyBack has offices in the University of Limerick at the Nexus Innovation Centre and a secondary office in San Francisco, CA.The product is at Beta stage of development and is undergoing pilot testing.A soft launch is planned in January 2016.Nexus centre manager Gert O’Rourke commented: “The path of a start-up entrepreneur is risky and difficult to navigate.
