first_imgThe Materials Characterization and Processing (MCP) facility ofJohns Hopkins University is looking to hire an experienced ResearchScientist as our Focused Ion Beam Specialist. The successfulapplicant will be responsible for operation, training, technicalsupport, and maintenance of our 2 year old Helios G4 UC FIB withinthe MCP and 10% personal research time. . Secondary responsibilitywould be to support the TEM and µCT Managers. Specific required FIBexperiences are: 1) TEM sample preparation, 2) 3D EDX and EBSD dataacquisition and processing, 3) cryo-FIB applications and 4)quantitative EDX analysis with standards.JHU engages in a wide variety of research activities ranging fromfunctional materials to biology, from Earth materials to mechanicalproperties testing.
