Samsung Galaxy A7 with triple rear cameras to launch in India today

first_imgAfter announcing the Galaxy A7 last week, Samsung is all set to bring the mid-range smartphone to India on Tuesday, September 25. The Galaxy A7 is the newest entrant to the Galaxy A series and is more importantly Samsung’s first smartphone with a triple camera system. Much like the Huawei P20 Pro, the Galaxy A7 gets a triple lens setup on the back. This suggests the phone will capture some incredible images, but only time will tell. As for now, Samsung will be announcing the pricing of the device at an event in New Delhi starting at 12pm.As a mid-range smartphone, we expect the Galaxy A7 to be priced in the Rs 30,000 segment. You may recall the company launched the Galaxy A8 Star a few weeks ago at Rs 34,990, which means you should expect the Galaxy A7 to fall a few notches lower in the price scale. Flipkart has a dedicated page for the Galaxy A7, which means the device will be available on the e-commerce platform. We also expect it to be available via Samsung’s online store and perhaps through offline channels as well. The Galaxy A7 sports a 6.0-inch FHD+ (1080×2220) Super AMOLED Infinity Display and is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor, but Samsung is yet to confirm whether this is an Exynos or Snapdragon chipset. The phone was announced with 4GB and 6GB of RAM options, but we are not sure as to whether the company will be bringing both the variants to India. The 4GB RAM option was announced with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage, while the 6GB memory variant gets 128GB of inbuilt storage. All the variants will support storage expandability up to 256GB via a microSD card.advertisementThe USP of the phone is of course its triple camera setup on the back. This includes an 8MP 120-degrees ultra wide-angle lens (f/2.4), a 24MP lens with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP depth lens with f/2.2 aperture. Samsung says the 24MP lens lets in more light by combining four pixels into one in low-light conditions. The cameras also support modes like Live Focus that will allow you to control the depth of field in real-time. Up front, the Galaxy A7 brings a 24MP front-facing camera with LED flash and the ability to capture bokehs with Selfie Focus. The Galaxy A7 also boasts an immersive sound experience thanks to Dolby Atmos support. It houses a 3,300mAh battery and will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo with Samsung’s Experience UI on top. We should know the exact nature of the chipset powering the Galaxy A7 and its India price later today, so do follow this space for more.ALSO READ: Samsung Galaxy J6+ and Galaxy J4+ with Infinity Display launched starting Rs 10,990last_img read more
